Have you ever looked at a large banner, vehicle graphic, or long sign and wondered how it was printed?
They are typically produced on large-format printers built for factories and print shops. The machines are big because the prints are big.

When we designed eufyMake E1, we wanted to make UV printing practical for a desktop setup.
Instead of needing a large commercial machine, you can print directly onto different materials for custom products, artwork, signs, and more at home.
But there was one limitation we could not ignore: a desktop printer has a fixed print area.
That works well for most small projects. But vehicle decals, banners, wall graphics, event decorations can quickly exceed the E1 print bed.
So what happens when the idea is longer than the printer? That is where the eufyMake Roll to Film Attachment comes in.

What Is the Roll to Film Attachment?
Designed specifically for eufyMake E1, the Roll-to-Film Attachment adds a continuous roll-printing workflow without turning E1 into a much larger printer.
A roll of film sits inside the lower section of the attachment. The film is pulled out from one side, guided through the rollers, and moved forward as E1 prints.

The finished film then comes out from the other side, where it can continue printing or be cut into individual pieces.
Unlike a traditional Roll to Roll setup, the printed material does not need to be wound onto another roll before you can use it. The attachment feeds the roll through E1 and outputs the printed film directly.
That is why we call it Roll to Film.

The current system supports continuous printing up to 10 m, with media from 100 to 305 mm wide and 0.1 to 0.6 mm thick.
The 10 m figure is mainly based on ink consumption under the current setup rather than a hard mechanical limit on how far the material can travel.
With our upcoming high capacity CISS, the amount of material that can be printed continuously can be much greater.
The physical limit is more about how much material the attachment can hold. The current maximum outer roll diameter is 90 mm, while the core diameter is not restricted.
Using a smaller core allows more material to fit into the available roll space, giving you more printable material without making the attachment itself larger.
Roll to Film Attachment Specifications
Small but Powerful
The Roll to Film Attachment measures 391 × 316 × 178 mm and weighs 5 kg.
That is small compared with the large format equipment normally used for long print jobs, but the attachment adds a very different capability to E1.
Loading is designed to be quick too. The roll can be installed or removed in under a minute, so changing materials does not need to become a complicated setup process.

Once the roll is loaded, the attachment handles the material movement for you. Its roller system and alignment structure help keep the film flat and aligned during long prints, with positioning deviation controlled to less than 3 mm over 10 m.
For a long graphic, this matters. A small alignment error can become much more noticeable as the print gets longer, especially with straight lines, repeated patterns, or artwork that needs to stay aligned from one end to the other.
Keep Printing While You Work on Something Else
Long format printing becomes much more useful when you do not have to stand next to the machine throughout the job.

The Roll to Film Attachment supports continuous and batch output. You can arrange multiple designs on the same roll and let E1 keep printing while you work on something else.
The built in X axis cutter can then cut the printed film at the positions you set in the design.
The attachment can also track the remaining media.

After loading a roll, you can enter or measure the remaining length in eufyMake Studio. The system updates the remaining amount after each print, helping you check whether there is enough material before starting a job.
Smart Layout can also arrange multiple designs to make better use of the available film.
Together, these features make the workflow much closer to production than printing one small piece at a time.
Bring E1's Creative Features to Roll Printing
The workflow also keeps some of the capabilities that make E1 different from a conventional flatbed workflow.
On supported canvas, the Roll to Film Attachment can produce 3D texture effects. You can choose from flat raised, pattern texture, relief texture, and custom texture modes.
White Foil Stamping is also supported on canvas, giving printed graphics an additional finishing option without moving the project to a separate machine.
These features have specific material requirements. For example, 3D texture printing is currently limited to canvas, and White Foil Stamping is also limited to supported canvas workflows.

What Can You Make With the Roll to Film Attachment?
The real value of Roll to Film is not simply being able to print 10 m long. It is what that extra capability lets a small business make and sell.
For creators, that can include:
- Stickers and decals
- Suncatchers and window clings
- Car decals
- Skateboard and snowboard wraps
- Banners and wall graphics
- Canvas artwork

Specialty materials also open up options such as glow in the dark stickers, rainbow maker decals, and clear window products.
Canvas can be used for larger artwork with 2.5D texture, raised details, and supported gold or silver foil effects.

For small businesses, these products can also become different price points in a product range. Small stickers are inexpensive to produce in batches, while larger decals, wraps, and canvas pieces can support higher selling prices.
Let's take a skateboard wrap as an example.

The flat version took about 55 minutes and 4.6 ml of ink.(unidirectional printing)
Adding 1 mm of raised texture took just over 5 hours and about 179 ml, almost all of it white and gloss ink building up the height.
Roll-to-Film or Laminating Machine? Which One Should You Choose
If you are choosing between the two, the honest answer is that neither replaces the other. Pick based on the surface you want and how you plan to cut.
Should You Buy the Roll to Film Attachment?
Roll to Film is not something every E1 owner needs.
If most of your projects are small rigid objects, the standard E1 flatbed workflow may already give you everything you need.
But if your business is moving toward vehicle graphics, banners, event decoration, wall graphics, batch stickers, or specialty film products, Roll to Film gives you a practical way to take E1 into those applications.
It keeps the setup compact, keeps loading simple, and lets the material move when the project needs more length.
That was the problem we wanted to solve. Not how to make a desktop printer bigger, but how to make it capable of doing more.
FAQs
Can it print UV DTF stickers with it?
Not right now. UV DTF printing needs a dedicated AB film set. The A film carries adhesive on its surface. That adhesive is the entire point of the process, and it is also the problem.
We designed this attachment as a single integrated unit. Material passes through the inside of it on the way to the print area, so an adhesive coated film would be touching the transport path the whole way through. Adhesive on a transport path causes trouble.
A split design would get around it. One part inside the machine to feed the roll, one part outside to hold the film and laminate it.
We worked that idea out and did not like where it landed. You would have to buy both parts. Either one failing takes the whole function down with it. And the process wastes noticeably more film than it should.
If UV DTF stickers are what you are after, a laminator does that job well today. This attachment is for long prints, textured material, and vinyl style decals you cut to shape yourself.
How long does the cutter last?
Around 700 cuts. It is a consumable, and it swaps out in a minute with the included hex driver.
If it stalls mid job, printing keeps going. You just finish those cuts by hand, so a dull blade costs you a few minutes rather than the whole run. Spare blades come from support.
Can I see how much film is left?
Yes. eufyMake Studio shows Remaining Length and tracks it after each print, with a warning once you drop below about 2 m.
Stick with the same roll and the estimate stays within roughly 6 percent, which is enough to know if your next job fits.
Do I need flexible white ink?
Only if your design uses white. CMYK only work runs on your normal setup.
If there is white in the file though, flexible white is not optional. Rigid white cures hard, and a hard layer on a material that bends will shrink and curl. Studio prompts you when a job needs the switch.
Can I do partial foil stamping?
Yes, with three things in place: 0.3 mm of flexible white ink under the foil area, real pressure during transfer, and heat at 100°C to 120°C.
Can I use my own film?
Mostly yes. PET, PVC, canvas, and paper all work, and third party rolls are fine as long as they fit our thickness, width, and weight specs.
Quality does shift between materials. That is the film, not the printer, so buy a short length and test it before you build a paid order around it.
