Notify MeIn this article, we will describe the use cases for this accessory in more detail, and answer the feedback we received after our last post, so you can decide whether it is right for you.
What Is the High-Capacity CISS?
CISS stands for Continuous Ink Supply System.
Rather than drawing ink from small cartridges seated inside the machine, the printer is fed continuously from larger tanks that sit outside it.
We covered our own version in detail in our previous post, so if you missed it, here is a quick recap.
On eufyMake E1, that means replacing the six small cartridge slots with a separate ink supply unit, which consists of three parts:
Ink is delivered by SmartFeed™, which actively pumps all six channels instead of relying on gravity, and tops up the secondary cartridges from the main tanks while you print. Two other systems work toward the same goal of keeping output stable:
- White ink management. White ink is the channel most prone to trouble in UV printing, because the pigment is heavy and settles whenever it sits still. It is stirred to stop it settling, circulated to stop it clumping, drawn back to stop it blocking the line, and flushed to keep the path clean.
- Ink level monitoring. Remaining volume is tracked in both the tanks and the secondary cartridges, so you can plan a restock instead of finding out mid job. The sensing uses no floats or moving parts inside the ink, so there is nothing in there to wear out or affect the ink itself.
In short, this system is built for anyone who needs more capacity, more continuity, and fewer interruptions.
3D Texture Printing
3D texture effects can be stunning, with rich color and a tactile finish that adds a whole new dimension to your prints.
It is something you can actually see and feel by hand.

The catch is that 3D texture is built by stacking ink layer upon layer. Compared with single layer flat printing, that means longer print times and a lot more ink.
On a large format texture piece, a standard cartridge can empty faster than you would expect.
That is why we added an ink saving mode. Take the parrot above: printed normally it uses 200.8 ml of ink, and in ink saving mode the same piece comes down to 80.23 ml.

That is a significant drop, though at that rate you would still be changing cartridges often. It is really a question of scale, and past a certain point a larger ink supply is simply the better fit.
This is where the High Capacity Ink Supply System comes in.
With active constant pressure ink delivery and up to 1,000 ml of white ink and varnish, you can run continuous 3D texture prints without staying next to the printer, ready to swap a cartridge at any moment.
Lower ink prices will also bring down your printing costs significantly, giving your creativity more room to run.
Long Format Printing
What if the design you want to print is much longer than the print bed itself?
As we all know, the maximum area you can print depends on the size of your print bed.
However, with the eufyMake Roll to Film Attachment, the E1 can support printing up to 10 meters in length by continuously feeding film through the attachment. This opens up more possibilities for applications like wall decor, skateboard skins, and other long format designs.
A print that long runs for hours, which changes how you plan around it. You might start one in the evening and leave it running overnight, or set it going and get on with the rest of your day.

Either way, it only works if you can leave it alone.
With 100 ml cartridges, a job this size can mean checking back to see how much ink is left, and staying near enough to swap one in if it runs dry.
That is harder than it sounds if the printer is in the garage or the basement while you are working upstairs, where every check is a trip down and back.
With up to 1,000 ml each of white ink and varnish, and ink levels visible from your phone, you can start a long print and leave it to run.
When it finishes, you will get a notification on your phone or another nearby device, so there is no need to keep checking on the machine.

Batch Printing
Another major use case for the eufyMake E1 is batch production on the same type of substrate for larger order volumes.
This is especially relevant for small businesses fulfilling repeatable products such as keychains, coasters, fridge magnets, challenge coins, golf balls, and similar items.
To support this kind of workflow, eufyMake Studio already includes tools such as smart contour recognition, batch fill, and reprint functions to improve efficiency and reduce repeated setup work.
But software efficiency is only one part of the process. When the same product is printed over and over, ink consumption rises quickly, and standard 100 ml cartridges may need to be replaced more often.
That creates extra interruptions and more consumable management during production.
With a larger capacity system, you can spend less time watching supply levels and handling cartridge changes, and more time focusing on orders, customers, and business growth.
For users running repeated jobs every day, that can be a very practical upgrade.
Is It Right for You?
If you mainly create smaller projects occasionally, standard cartridges may still be the better fit.
But if your workflow regularly includes heavy white ink and varnish use, longer print sessions, 3D texture work, or repeated batch jobs, the High Capacity Ink Supply System can make production easier to manage.
It is not just about holding more ink. It is about reducing interruptions, improving continuity, and giving you a smoother workflow when your projects start demanding more from the machine.

A Few Questions We Have Heard From Users
Why does the system have to sit on the right side of the printer?
This mainly comes from how the E1 is built inside.
The ink from the larger tanks does not go straight to the printhead. It first goes to the secondary cartridge module, which sits where the original cartridges used to be. Since that part of the machine is near the right rear side, placing the system on the right helps keep the ink path shorter and more stable.
That secondary cartridge module also helps smooth out pressure before ink reaches the printhead, which is important for keeping print output consistent.
I do not want to keep the ink system that close to the printer. Will there be longer or shorter tubes?
We understand why some users would want more flexibility here.
For now, we are not offering different tube lengths. During development, we focused a lot on supply stability and overall safety. If the tube is too long, it can affect how steadily ink is delivered, and it can also make routing and placement around the machine harder to manage.
So at this stage, we chose a tube length that we believe is more reliable in real use. We also designed a system connector to help secure the ink system to the printer, which helps reduce the risk of tipping and makes the overall setup safer.
If one tank runs low, can I just swap it during a print?
We do not recommend it. The secondary cartridge may still have enough ink to let the print continue for a while, but if a new tank is not inserted in time, air can be pulled into the system. That can affect print quality and, in some cases, the printer itself. So it is better to treat tank replacement as something to do before or after a job whenever possible.
What happens if the power goes out in the middle of a long print?
The system is built to pick things back up. Automatic refilling and white ink switching can resume after an interruption, so once power returns the machine carries on with the steps it had not finished.
Do all cartridges need to be installed before printing starts?
Yes, at least for now. The machine needs to detect that all required cartridges are in place before it begins printing. That follows the same basic logic as the E1 itself.
With this much ink in the system, how do I know how much is actually left?
You can check remaining volume for both the large tanks and the secondary cartridges, from your phone or your computer.
The level sensing uses no floats or moving parts sitting inside the ink, so there is nothing in there to wear down over time, and nothing that can affect the ink itself.
With 100 ml cartridges, running low was usually something you could see coming. Once the supply is this large and jobs run longer, having a real number in front of you is what lets you plan a restock instead of discovering the problem halfway through a print.
White ink has always been the difficult one. Does holding 1,000 ml make that worse?
That is a reasonable thing to ask. White pigment is heavy, so it settles whenever it sits still for a while.
This is why white ink is looked after continuously, not only while you print. It is stirred so the pigment stays evenly mixed, circulated so it does not clump, drawn back so it does not block the line, and flushed to keep the path clean.
What if I do not finish the ink before it expires?
That is a fair concern, especially with larger capacity ink.
Right now, the software does not hard lock expired ink. Instead, it gives you a clear warning and lets you decide whether to continue. We wanted to leave that decision with the user, while still making sure the possible risks are clearly communicated.
