Hey eufyMake backers and pre-order users,
We’re starting this regular Community Update to stay better connected with you and to keep building E1 together.
As the community becomes more active, we’re seeing more useful discussions, questions, and ideas every day.
At the same time, important information can easily get scattered or missed. That’s why we created this Community Update.
Think of it as a simple way to bring the most helpful information into one place, so you don’t have to dig through threads to find what matters. We’ll share answers, progress, and inspiration here regularly, and keep it practical, honest, and easy to follow.
We’re glad you’re here. Here’s what we’ll focus on each time.
Clearer support and better co-building
Right now, many of you are receiving your machines and starting real projects. Questions naturally come up, and they often appear in different threads and places.
From now on, we’ll collect the most common technical issues and requests here in one place.
This list will be updated in every Community Update. It is about reducing frustration and ensuring your input helps us co-build a better eufyMake E1.
Sharing real progress, not just announcements
We want everyone to see what’s happening behind the scenes.
In each update, we’ll share:
- Shipping progress and key timelines. This ensures our website pre-order customers have the same visibility as our Kickstarter backers.
- Current online and offline activities you can join.
We’ll also use this space to directly address common concerns and clear up misunderstandings when they come up.
Keeping the inspiration flowing
This community is full of smart ideas and talented makers.
By sharing our own experiments and highlighting projects from you, we hope this becomes a place where ideas bounce around and new projects start naturally.
Now, let’s get into this week’s update.
Part 1: High-Frequency Issues – Quick Guide (Updated 2/11)
Q: What should I know about ink cartridges and safety precautions?
A: Proper handling is critical for performance and safety. This guide details the correct installation method to prevent leaks and outlines specific odor precautions you must take to ensure a safe printing environment.

Q: How do I protect my printer during winter or power outages?
A: You can prevent clogging by entering Moisturizing Mode before cold exposure and keeping the ambient temperature above 0°C (32°F). When restarting, allow the machine to warm up for 4-6 hours (or 10-12 hours if stored in freezing conditions) to reach the operating range of 15-35°C.
Q: How can I get sharper, high-definition prints?
A: Great quality usually comes down to settings. We put together a guide on how to tweak your parameters and pretreatment. This helps you get that crisp, professional finish.

Q: My white ink pump is making a weird noise. What is wrong?
A: This usually sounds scary, but it is often just a circulation issue. We have a checklist to help you find blockages or alignment problems and quiet it down.
Q: My printhead is moving strangely or making noise.
A: If the movement looks jerky, it might be a rail or calibration issue. We have steps to help you find the friction point and get it moving smoothly again.
Troubleshoot printhead movement
Q: How do I replace the scraper and station parts?
A: We wrote a full standard operating procedure (SOP) for this. It tells you exactly which tools you need and walks you through the swap step-by-step.
Follow the scraper replacement guide
Q: What should I do if I encounter initialization issues?
A: Setup hurdles can happen. This guide helps you clear common blocking points like device recognition, driver installation, and specific first-time startup procedures to get you running.

Q: What should I do if my printed images appear shifted, misaligned, or distorted?
A: If your image isn't landing exactly where it should, it is usually an alignment or calibration issue. We have a step-by-step path to check your settings and correct the drift.
Fix image shift and distortion
Q: How do I use the eufyMake editor and its key functions?
A: To help you master the software, we created a comprehensive tutorial. It walks you through the essential design tools, layout adjustments, and print settings to streamline your workflow.

Q: Why do my prints appear pale or light-colored after exiting maintenance mode?
A: This can happen if the ink flow needs to be re-established. You can restore proper color density by following these specific calibration and checking steps.

Q: How should I perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance on my printer?
A: Consistent care is the secret to a long lifespan for your E1. This checklist covers the daily essentials—printhead care, station cleaning, and general upkeep—to keep everything running smoothly.

Shipping & Fulfillment Update
We want to keep you in the loop on exactly where things stand with production and delivery.
Printer Shipping Progress
With the latest batch of 3,000 units dispatched on February 9th, we have now shipped a total of 15,885 units from our factory in China.
These units are currently in transit from China. Please note that it will take some time for them to arrive at our regional warehouses before final delivery can begin.
Here is the cumulative breakdown of our shipping progress:

You might notice that production output has temporarily slowed compared to previous weeks. This is because we allocated part of our production lines to build localized language versions of the E1 for different regions.
Ink Fulfillment
We also dispatched a new batch of 5,500 ink sets on February 10th from our China factory.
- Current Batch: These are scheduled to arrive at our regional warehouses by the end of February.
- Remaining Kickstarter Orders: The remaining ink sets for all Kickstarter orders are expected to reach our regional warehouses by the end of March.
Online Event
We recently wrapped up the Flat UV Printing Challenge, and it was great to see how deeply you explored flatbed printing. Many of the submissions showed a strong mix of technical control and creative thinking, really pushing what the E1 can do.
At the same time, our “100 Ways to Play with Wood” campaign is still going strong. Wood turned out to be one of the most exciting materials to work with. From mechanical wooden toys to custom home décor, you’ve shown how the E1 can turn simple timber into something personal and unique.
Featured Project Showcase
We’ll be spotlighting standout community projects here. These are the kinds of ideas that inspire others to try something new.

New Resource for Makers
Speaking of materials, we want to help you print on more than just wood.
We know that printing on smooth surfaces like metal and acrylic can be tricky. To help you get the best results, we are now offering adhesion promoter on our official website.
We hope this helps you tackle a wider range of projects with confidence.
Offline Event
We are gradually rolling out the eufyMake Demo Room program to offer a hands-on, in-person space for you to experience the E1.
These rooms are designed to let you explore real-world use cases. You can operate the machine, test materials, and learn about creative workflows before diving in.
The first Demo Room is currently live in Dallas, TX.
We expect the booking feature to open to the public in mid-February. Once live, you will be able to schedule in-person sessions directly through the booking page on our official website. We will continue to update the page with booking steps and new locations as we introduce additional makerspaces as partners.
Part 3: Community Trends
Seeing more eufyMake E1 units arrive at your homes has been the highlight of our week.
The conversation is shifting from “when will it arrive” to “look what I made,” and that’s exactly where we hoped things would go.
