eufyMake Demo Room Safety Notice

Welcome to our UV printing demonstration! We're excited to show you how this amazing technology works. To ensure everyone's safety during your creative experience, please read these important guidelines before you begin.

Critical Safety Requirements

These rules are essential for everyone's safety in our demo room
Supervised Operation Only: All visitors must operate the equipment under direct supervision of Makerspace's trained staff. Never attempt to use the printer alone - we're here to guide you through every step of the process.
Maintain Safe Distance: Please stay at least 50cm (20 inches) away from the printer during operation to avoid inhaling any fumes. Our staff will show you the safe viewing positions.
Keep Hands Clear: Never place hands or any objects inside the print chamber while the machine is running. This prevents injury and ensures smooth operation.

UV Light Safety

Protecting your eyes and skin is our top priority
  • Never look directly at the UV lights during printing, even briefly
  • We provide UV-blocking safety goggles for close observation of the printing process
  • Keep UV light exposure away from your skin
  • The UV light is only active during printing and will automatically turn off when complete

Who Can Use This Equipment

Ensuring safe operation for everyone
  • Children must be supervised by adults at all times
  • Please let our staff assist you if you're unfamiliar with the equipment
  • If you have any questions during your session, don't hesitate to ask for help

Demo Room Environment

Creating the right conditions for safe printing
  • Our demo room is well-ventilated for your safety and comfort
  • The equipment works best in temperatures below 35°C (95°F)
  • No eating, drinking, or smoking near the machine during operation
  • Our staff maintains proper ventilation and environmental controls throughout your session

During Your Printing Session

Simple guidelines to follow while your project prints
  • Keep hands and objects away from the printer's interior while it's running
  • If you need to step away, please let our staff know
  • Stay within the designated safe viewing areas we'll show you

Personal Protection

Basic precautions for your comfort
  • Please use protective gloves when handling materials with wet (uncured) ink
  • We provide protective eyewear for your peace of mind
  • Always avoid direct skin contact with uncured ink

Child & Pet Safety

Important reminders for families
  • UV-printed items should not be chewed or bitten by children or pets
  • Please supervise children around all printed materials throughout the session
  • We'll ensure age-appropriate projects and safety measures for younger visitors

Material Guidelines

Choosing the right materials for your project
  • Makerspace's Staff will help you select appropriate materials from our curated collection
  • Please don't bring flammable or chemically reactive materials
  • Stretchy fabrics like clothing or textiles aren't suitable for direct UV printing, but we have great alternatives

Important Safety Reminders

A few key points for everyone's safety
  • Never heat, burn, or ignite any UV-printed materials after creation, as the ink contains compounds that can release harmful gases when burned
  • Don't move the equipment while it's plugged in or running
  • Follow all staff instructions regarding safe operation procedures

Caring for Your UV-Printed Creations

Taking proper care of items you create with us

  • Don't use UV-printed items as food containers or eating utensils - they're perfect for decorative and functional non-food uses
  • Hand wash only - never place UV-printed objects in a dishwasher
  • Avoid cleaning UV-printed surfaces with alcohol, as it may dissolve the ink and expose uncured chemicals
  • We'll provide specific care instructions based on your creation before you leave

What Makerspace's Staff Will Handle

Technical aspects we manage for your safety
  • All equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Print-head adjustments and test printing to ensure proper ink flow
  • Proper ventilation and environmental controls
  • Selection and preparation of appropriate printing substrates

Your Safety is Our Priority! Makerspace's experienced staff will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you have a safe, educational, and fun experience with UV printing technology. We encourage questions and want you to feel completely comfortable throughout your demonstration session.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Read these instructions. All safety and operating instructions must be read before operating this product.
  • Please refer to the information on the exterior bottom enclosure for electrical and safety instructions before installing or operating the product.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cord or assembly, which is available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
  • Do not disassemble the product. Take it to a qualified service person for servicing or repair. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
  • Do not install this equipment in a confined space. Ensure that it is kept well-ventilated. Do not cover the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, or curtains.
  • Flammable materials or items that are prone to chemical reactions should not be used as printing substrates. Failure to do so could result in damage to the machine or personal injury.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have received supervision or instruction regarding its use from a person responsible for their safety.
  • This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where children are likely to be present. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • The maximum operating temperature is 35°C (95°F).

Hygiene & Personal Protection
  • Use eye protection. Always wear protective glasses or goggles. Avoid wearing contact lenses while working. Never look directly at the UV radiation source (lamps) even with eye protection.
  • Use protective gloves. Purchase gloves from reputable suppliers, as inferior quality gloves may increase the risk of developing contact dermatitis (irritation, etc.). Be aware that protective gloves may increase entanglement. Keep hands away from operating rotating shafts, rollers, and other equipment with moving parts.
  • Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in all areas where this device is located.
  • Wear solvent-resistant protective gloves when cleaning the equipment or floor stains with solvents.
Operating
  • Make sure that the printer is operated in a well-ventilated workplace with proper air circulation.
  • Do not move the device while it is plugged in or operating.
  • Use only the original ink cartridges supplied by the manufacturer. Using the wrong cartridge can cause damage to the printer and affect the quality of the printed material.
  • Ink cartridges should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Spills should be cleaned up immediately.
  • Use only the original power adapter supplied by the manufacturer.
Battery
  • Product contains non-replaceable RTC coin battery. Battery Model: CR1225, 3V rating.
  • Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. DO NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
  • Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
  • Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not attempt to force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 100°C (212℉), or incinerate. Doing so may cause injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  • The coin battery can cause serious or fatal injury in 2 hours or less if placed in any part of the body.

No Obvious Symptoms
Unfortunately, it is not obvious when a button or coin battery is stuck in a child's oesophagus (food pipe). There are no specific symptoms associated with this. The child might:
  • cough, gag or drool a lot;
  • appear to have a stomach upset or a virus;
  • be sick;
  • point to their throat or stomach;
  • have a pain in their abdomen, chest or throat;
  • be tired or lethargic;
  • be quieter or more clingy than usual or otherwise "not themselves";
  • lose their appetite or have a reduced appetite; and
  • not wanting to eat solid food/being unable to eat solid food.
These symptoms may vary or fluctuate, with the pain increasing and then subsiding.
A specific symptom of button or coin battery ingestion is vomiting fresh, bright red blood. If your child does this, seek immediate medical help.
It is important to be vigilant around spare or "flat" button or coin batteries, as well as the products containing them, at home.

Indoor Use only
Caution: Moving Parts! Keep body parts away from moving parts.
